Despatch Coordinator

Performance Objectives

• Achieve 98%+ on-time dispatch of finished goods and spare parts within SLA, measured weekly against customer and field-engineer demand.
• Reduce order-to-ship cycle time by 15% in the first six months through tighter carrier, warehouse, and sales handoffs.
• Resolve 95% of dispatch exceptions (stock-outs, address issues, customs holds) within four hours without escalation.
• Maintain 100% accuracy on shipping documentation and tracking so field teams and public-safety customers can plan with certainty.
• Cut premium freight spend 10% year-over-year by optimizing routes, consolidating loads, and forecasting peaks.
• Lead daily stand-ups with warehouse, customer service, and logistics partners to clear blockers before they delay a single unit.

Environment & Resources

You report to the Logistics Manager and work inside a high-volume distribution operation supporting global public-safety and enterprise customers. You will use SAP, carrier portals, and internal tracking tools, with dedicated warehouse staff, carrier contracts, and a modest exception budget. Cross-functional support from sales, field engineering, and customer success is immediate.

Essential Qualifications

• Proven record coordinating high-volume, time-critical shipments in a regulated or safety-sensitive environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems and carrier platforms to track, document, and exception-manage orders.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and close the loop with internal and external stakeholders under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication to keep field teams and customers informed without delays.
• Eligibility to work in the relevant location and, where required, pass background screening aligned with public-safety standards.
