MDU Project Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced MDU Project Manager to oversee our fibre optic cabling projects in Spalding and Pinchbeck. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of multiple dwelling unit (MDU) fibre installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage MDU cabling projects from inception through to completion.
• Lead a team of cablers, splicers, and subcontractors, ensuring effective resource allocation and efficient workflow.
• Oversee site surveys, permitting, and ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
• Manage project timelines, budget, and reporting, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality installation and splicing works, maintaining compliance with Openreach or Hyperoptic standards.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and local authorities to maintain strong communication and resolve any on-site challenges.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing MDU fibre cabling projects, preferably with exposure to Openreach or Hyperoptic premises.
• Strong understanding of fibre splicing, cabling, and civil works processes.
• Solid background in project management with experience in managing teams of engineers and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Relevant certifications, such as Health & Safety (Working at Heights), Confined Space Training, and First Aid, are highly desirable.
